Ionrift Voice Relay: Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 2026
The hosted relay at voice.ionrift.cloud is run by Ionrift Workshop. Contact: ionrift.gm@gmail.com. It carries Discord voice into your Foundry game.
Voice
When the Ionrift bot is in a voice channel, it forwards the voice of everyone in that channel to the Foundry browsers at that table. Each browser applies the acoustics locally. We never decode, record, store or transcribe what is said. Voice activity is used only to show who is speaking and to leave silent channels.
Discord details
User IDs and display names of people in the channel are sent to the table's browsers so voices can be matched to tokens. The relay keeps them in memory while the channel is active and doesn't write them to logs.
Patreon membership
To decide who can use the hosted relay, we read Ionrift's Patreon member list every 15 minutes: membership status, tier, and the Discord account each patron has linked. This includes patrons who don't use Voice. It's kept in memory, never written to disk, and never shared.
IP addresses
Your IP address is held in memory while you're connected, so we can limit how many connections one address can open. It isn't written to logs.
Why we use this data
We use it to run the service you've chosen to use (legitimate interests), and to check membership for patrons who receive the relay as a benefit.
Who else handles data
Hetzner hosts the server in Germany. Discord carries the voice. We don't sell or share data with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at ionrift.gm@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Self-hosting
If you run your own relay, the hosted relay isn't involved and none of the above applies.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
